producer and dj, richy pitch moved from uk to ghana, west africa and took on the challenge to record an lp which drew on his many musical experiences during his stay. his goal was to record with local stars and talent and fuse the classic sound of ghanaian music with his own production skills that he had already developed in london. two years later and back to london, richy knocked on bbe records door to deliver ye fre mi richy pitch. coloured vinyl! yoshihiro hanno aka radiq is a highly acclaimed musician and composer from japan, now living and working between tokyo and paris. he did releases on imprints like sub rosa, logistic and progressive form. hanno worked with the new japan philharmonic orchestra as well as arto lindsey or ryuichi sakamoto. besides he got international fame as a composer for different film scores including work with asian movie master hou hsiao-hsien and film director jia zhang-ke. radiq is since some time well aligned with the philpot camp. when he and soulphiction met again last year during the philpot tour in japan, co-operation was affirmed and tracks were committed. two of those funky nuggets are released here, one coming with a brilliant soulphiction remix treatment. >thanks for purchasing a real copy!!<

minimal wave: both a genre of underground diy electronic music from north america and europe in the late 1970s and 80s, and the name of the label devoted to unearthing these recordings. the minimal wave tapes is the first official anthology of minimal wave music from this label. most of the songs were originally released on limited edition cassettes or vinyl by the artists themselves, and only a handful of people knew about them. they ve been remastered from their analog source tapes and compiled here by minimal waves veronica vasicka and stones throws peanut butter wolf.

on january 1st 2010, the first single released by a new vinyl label kanu kanu will appear in the shops worldwide. the aim of the label, run by a producer hatti vatti (mindset recordings), is to promote interesting and original artists from the world of dub-tech, minimal dubstep / ukg. the material for the single catalogued as number 001 was created by the musicians from three countries: echo_tm from poland, echo ranks from great britain and biodub from germany. the person responsible for the overall conception is hatti vatti from poland, currently living in cairo, egypt. the result of this collaboration is a fusion of meditative bass, dub, dub-tech, minimal and one of the most interesting voices of contemporary reggae. the record is released in a very limited edition (300 copies) and it is pressed on a beautiful blue vinyl!
